Delivery, Packaging & Handling

How Fabric Walls Arrives on Site

Every Fabric Walls project is delivered in a custom wood crate designed to protect the panels and elements during transport and handling. The crate is organised so installers can identify and place components quickly, with all items clearly labelled to match the drawings.

The crate ensures that the fabric surfaces, aluminium frames, and architectural elements arrive in perfect condition.

Custom Wood Crate Construction

Each crate is built specifically for the project and includes:

  • a rigid timber structure
  • internal bracing to prevent movement
  • protective wrapping for fabric surfaces
  • separation layers between components
  • reinforced edges and corners

This provides a stable, secure environment for the panels during transport.

Labelling

Every component inside the crate is labelled to match the drawings. Labels indicate:

  • panel number
  • orientation
  • position in the room
  • any integrated features

This ensures a clear, predictable installation sequence.

Handling on Site

When the crate arrives:

  • remove the lid and front panel for easy access
  • keep the crate close to the installation area
  • lift panels using the frame edges, not the fabric
  • avoid sharp objects near the fabric surface
  • store panels upright or flat on a clean surface

The crate is designed to act as a staging area during installation.

Crate Disposal or Re‑Use

After installation:

  • the crate can be disassembled and recycled
  • or retained for future transport or storage

Its modular construction makes it easy to break down or repurpose.
