Installation Environment Requirements: Room Conditions, Surfaces & Preparation

Why Room Conditions Matter

Fabric Walls is a precision‑made system. For the panels to align correctly and the fabric to remain stable, the installation environment must be clean, dry, and ready for work.

Good preparation ensures a smooth installation and a consistent finish.

Room Conditions

Before installation begins, the room should be:

  • dry and free from moisture
  • at a stable, comfortable temperature
  • free from dust and debris
  • clear of tools, furniture, and obstructions

This allows installers to work efficiently and maintain the quality of the fabric surface.

Wall & Surface Preparation

Walls should be:

  • structurally sound
  • free from loose material
  • reasonably flat
  • ready to accept fixings

Minor surface imperfections are acceptable, as the panels create their own finished surface.

Electrical & Equipment Preparation

Any electrical work should be completed before installation, including:

  • power for TVs
  • speaker cabling
  • control panel wiring
  • lighting feeds for linear LED profiles

Cables should be in place and ready for connection.

Space Requirements

Installers need:

  • clear access to all walls
  • space to unpack and stage panels
  • a clean area to place components before installation

This ensures a safe and efficient workflow.
